Biden Hits Back at AOC for Climate Change Criticism: 'Tell Her to Check' My Record

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has been criticizing Joe Biden's climate change record for days, but she's yet to mention the former vice president by name. As the co-author of the radical Green New Deal and someone who believes the world will end in 12 years, she has no patience for old timers like Biden who want more moderate solutions.

"I will be damned if the same politicians who refused to act then come back today and say we need a 'middle of the road' approach to save our lives," the freshman Democrat reiterated at a joint event with Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) on Monday.

Biden was less subtle in his response at a campaign stop in New Hampshire on Tuesday.

"I've never been middle of the road on the environment," he told reporters.

"Tell her to check the statements that I made and look at my record. She'll find that nobody has been more consistent about taking on the environment and the Green Revolution that I have," he continued.

"I'm sure she will have time to look at it," he said with a smile.

Yet, others like Sen. Sanders have also put Biden's voting record under the microscope as of late. He reminded voters that Biden voted in favor of the Iraq War, for NAFTA, and has cozied up to Wall Street. The former VP, for his part, maintains that he's "the most progressive" Democrat in the race.
