Okay, let’s recap this evil again. Virginia House Delegate Kathy Tran, a Democrat, proposed a bill that would’ve permitted abortion virtually until the moment of birth based on one doctor’s recommendation. Then, Democratic Gov. Ralph Northam decided to step in it by saying this:
“If a mother is in labor, I can tell you exactly what would happen,” he said. “The infant would be delivered. The infant would be kept comfortable. The infant would be resuscitated if that’s what the mother and the family desired, and then a discussion would ensue between the physicians and the mother.”
This is infanticide, folks. It’s straight up murder. It’s pretty much what New York passed recently. It’s ghastly. It’s immoral. It’s wrong. It’s extreme. And the Democrat-media complex is offering a lot of political cover to these lawmakers with their usual ‘conservative pounce’ stories. The Washington Post took it a step further. They tried to absolve Tranfor bringing this horrible baby-killing bill forward by saying she nursed her baby on the state House floor. Heck, even Tran’s Democratic colleagues are starting to put some distance between themselves and this bill, which thankfully was rejected. Delegate Dawn Adams sent an apology to her constituents, saying she wouldn’t have co-sponsored the bill…if she had read it.
So, how do other Democrats feel about this bill and Tran and Northam’s remarks? Well, they claim that they haven’t heard about it. Henry Rodgers of the Daily Caller asked scores of Democrats on the Hill and they either walked away or have no idea what he said. That’s what they claim:
Every Democratic Senator I have spoken with has completely denied hearing anything about Gov. Northam’s late-term abortion comments...

Sen. Widen on @GovernorVA's late-term abortion comments:

"I haven't haven't seen them."
Me: "It was about late-term abortion."
He walked away...

"I haven’t seen anything. I’ve been in retreats. Obviously I just got out of a meeting."
Kept walking...
Sen. Markey on @GovernorVA's late-term abortion comments:

"I don't know what he said. I don't know what he said."
Walked away.
Sen. Leahy on @GovernorVA's late-term abortion comments:

"I have no idea what he said. I have no idea what happened there. I do follow the Governor of Vermont though, all the time."

Claims he has not heard them.
"No," he said in response to my question.
Capitol subway door then closed.
Sen. Coons on @GovernorVA's late-term abortion comments:
— Henry Rodgers (@henryrodgersdc) January 31, 2019
"I'm literally mid sentence talking to staff about the vote I have to take right now. Happy to talk to you soon."
Me: So you haven't heard them?
Coons: "I've been in a caucus retreat for two days."
I doubt all of these people stopped reading The Washington Post. Maybe it’s because the secret is out: they’re abortion extremists. Yes, we all knew that, but it’s funny how these stores about how far left the Democrats have gone when it comes to abortion is smothered with a pillow by the liberal media. Not even left-wing, socialist Europe have a majority of nations that permit late-term abortion. Most ban it after 20 weeks.

Alas, the narrative must be kept alive at all costs, so deny, run away, and claim ignorance. Even if the story is right in your backyard, or in this case, across the Potomac. The fact that Democrats are playing see no evil with their Virginia counterparts all but pushing for infanticide speaks to how popular this issue is with voters. It’s not, and late-term abortion is not really done due to fetal abnormalities or because the life of the mother is at risk.
Notice @kathykltran said: “Infanticide is not allowed...” not that it’s immoral or she’s appalled someone would think she meant that.

She also is clearly drawing the line of humanity at the birth canal. pic.twitter.com/NBNlO5Kd6c
This is simply false. From the (pro-choice) Guttmacher Institute: “data suggests that most women seeking later terminations are not doing so for reasons of fetal anomaly or life endangerment.” https://t.co/HMFxohm8Cl https://t.co/MhYrspor7g

It’s official: NY’s extremism and the VA barbarism are officially the Democrats’ position on abortion. Sanction by silence. @PPFA spent reported $3m to elect Northam and nearly ever Dem receives donations from them (after they get $500m in our tax dollars annually). https://t.co/C1R99gp1gX

When asked if her bill would allow an abortion when the woman is dilating, Virginia Delegate Kathy Tran said, "My bill would allow that, yes." https://t.co/LNXSWhzyEp

Now, as for New York’s abortion extremism, if you haven’t heard about it—it’s probably because there’s been a de facto media blackout on it (via Newsbusters):
It’s been a full week since the state of New York legalized late-term abortions, yet none of the major national TV networks has bothered to mention the story. This deafening silence is in stark contrast to the alarmist coverage seen when a state passes legislation that the media see as curtailing “abortion rights.”
If the media are looking for controversy, this legislation has more than enough for journalists to sink their teeth into. The new law has been widely condemned by prominent pro-life organizations, and it has even ignited a debate within the Catholic Church about excommunicating Andrew Cuomo, the state’s governor who signed the bill into law. New York-based Cardinal Timothy Dolan has called it a “ghoulish radical abortion-expansion law, which allows for an abortion right up to the moment of birth.”
An analysis by the Media Research Center found that New York’s Reproductive Health Act has not received a second of airtime on any of the major broadcast (ABC, CBS, NBC) or liberal cable news networks (CNN, MSNBC) since it was signed into law on January 22. The new legislation legalizes abortion after 24 weeks of pregnancy in some cases, and it permits healthcare workers other than abortion doctors to terminate pregnancies.
The Democrat-media complex is hard at work.
