Pelosi's Former Challenger Agrees The Democratic Party Is in 'Oblivion'

Rep. Tim Ryan (D-OH) proved again on Thursday why his party should have elected him to replace House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi. While Pelosi did not see the need to dramatically change the Democrats' election efforts after their wide ranging defeat in November, Ryan took a more pragmatic approach and acknowledged the need to reach out to demographics like blue collar workers.

Unfortunately for the Democrats, they decided to stick with the status quo and let Pelosi keep her job.

When Fox Business News's Maria Bartiromo had Ryan on her show on Thursday, she quoted a piece from Breitbart that suggested Pelosi, with her obstinate behavior and refusal to give President Trump's nominees a fair shot, was heading toward oblivion.

Ryan said it was already there.

"Well, I mean Democrats, not to be too frank, but we are in oblivion as we speak now," Ryan said. "I mean, we got completely wiped out in the election, so we are trying to work our way back."

In addition to sticking with failed approaches, Pelosi has recently claimed that sanctuary cities make Americans "safer" and has condemned Trump administration members as "white supremacists."

She's also not great with technology.

Yet, the Democrats have spoken and have chosen her to again be their mouthpiece.
