First, go read Guy’s post from yesterday (and revisit the video embedded therein) exposing Hamas’ unremitting campaign to maximize civilian deaths by firing rockets from densely-populated residential areas inside Gaza. They do so on purpose, of course, so that when and if IDF forces retaliate, and innocents perish, they can proudly condemn the world’s only Jewish state. This strategy has boosted their cause worldwide, and not surprisingly, further convinced their anti-Semitic supporters that they’re on the right side of history.
Yesterday, however, the media outlet France 24 uncovered yet another rocket pad inside Gaza City from which Palestinian militants have been raining hell-fire down on Israel. As it happens, the network confirmed it was located only "50 meters" from a hotel occupied by journalists covering the conflict, and in the same vicinity as a UN complex. Surprise:
The Israeli military goes to great lengths to avoid spilling innocent blood. Hamas militants, however, do not grant Israeli citizens this same courtesy, and use their own people as human shields for military gain. As the Israeli Prime Minister recently put it: “Here's the difference between us: We're using missile defense to protect our civilians, and they're using their civilians to protect their missiles.”

I’ll leave you with Charles Krauthammer’s unsparing analysis (linked earlier by Greg) about how “raw” the current wave of anti-Semitism is in Europe right now, and how “ignorant” Americans are about the present conflict. Is he right?
