King George vs. Barack Obama

A recent Pew Research poll found that Americans' trust in government today is at an historic low of just 22%.

Meanwhile, Wikipedia reports:

Historians have estimated that approximately 40–45% of the colonists actively supported the rebellion while 15–20% of the population of the thirteen colonies remained loyal to the British Crown. Interesting. We're inching closer to a significant tipping point of trust, where more Americans would've trusted the tyrannical monarchy of King George than now trust the American government.
