Castro: Obamacare Passage is "A Miracle"

President Obama's health care overhaul plan may be unpopular with the American people, but he can rest assured that Fidel Castro is still a big fan.

According to the

Associated Press, the revolutionary Communist is a big Obamacare supporter, describing Obama as "unquestionably intelligent."

Cuban revolutionary leader Fidel Castro on Thursday declared passage of American health care reform "a miracle" and a major victory for Obama's presidency, but couldn't help chide the United States for taking so long to enact what communist Cuba achieved decades ago.

"We consider health reform to have been an important battle and a success of his (Obama's) government," Castro wrote in an essay published in state media, adding that it would strengthen the president's hand against lobbyists and "mercenaries."

What great news--especially since we're well aware at how *nice* the Cuban health care system is.  Obama is truly changing America, just as he promised, and Uncle Sam Fidel couldn't be happier.

Update: President Obama can check another off his list of people to please--the UN World Health Organization gives Obamacare two thumbs up.
