Tea Partier Throws Wrench in GOP Campaign to Oust Reid

A new poll in Nevada shows Tea Party hopeful Jon Ashjian helping Sen. Harry Reid, D-Nev., in the U.S. Senate race.  Thankfully Reid's numbers aren't yet ahead of either Republican Sue Lowden's or Danny Tarkanian's.

Lowden leads Reid, 42% to 37%, with Ashjian at 9%.

Tarkanian leads Reid, 40% to 39%, with Ashjian at 11%.

This is undoubtedly why people like Sarah Palin have been encouraging Tea Party members NOT to abandon the GOP, but instead work within the parameters of the two-party system.  After all, a Harry Reid victory is bad news bears for us all...
