Texas Gov Race Has Divided GOP Support

As I reported yesterday, former Vice President Dick Cheney plans to hit the campaign trail for Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison in her campaign for governor of Texas. Now, Republican Gov. Rick Perry is brushing off Cheney's endorsement of Hutchison, saying he's

content with his current GOP support from former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin who endorsed him back in February:

[Perry] said Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour will be in Texas today to endorse [his] re-election effort... And when Perry was asked whether he’d rather have Sarah Palin or Dick Cheney endorsing him, the governor responded: “I think I’d stick with Sarah.”
