The headlines about this tragic incident are telling. Last week in Germany, there was what can arguably be called an Islamic terror attack in Mannheim. A crazed Afghan immigrant went on a stabbing spree, which killed a police officer. German police say they discovered evidence that could point to an extremist motive—you don’t say.
The entire incident was captured on video. What’s striking is the police’s initial reaction to restrain those who the unhinged Islamist was stabbing. It took an inexcusable amount of time before the attack was shot and wounded by police. The attack occurred during a Pax Europa event, an organization that has been described as one warning against Islamic extremism (via Associated Press) [WARNING: Graphic content]:

As if this story can’t get worse for German police, after tackling all the white people, choking the wrong guy & getting stabbed by the Muslim terrorist.

A 29-year-old German police officer has died of injuries suffered during a knife attack that left five other people injured on the central square of Mannheim, officials said Sunday.
The officer was stabbed several times in the head and neck by a 25-year-old immigrant from Afghanistan and underwent emergency surgery after the attack Friday, officials said. The officer was placed in an artificial coma but succumbed to his injuries on Sunday.
Chancellor Olaf Scholz posted on X, formerly Twitter, that he was “deeply grieved” and that the officer’s “commitment to the safety of us all deserves the highest recognition.”

The suspect was shot and wounded by another officer; he remained hospitalized and a judge has ordered him held on suspicion of attempted murder. Police and prosecutors have not provided a motive for the attack, saying the suspect was not in a condition to be questioned.
You’ll see many headlines describe this as a stabbing attack. How about terrorism now (via ABC News):
Justice Minister Marco Buschmann wrote on the social media platform X late Monday that “there are now clear indications of an Islamist motive” for the attack and federal prosecutors, who are responsible for terrorism and national security cases, are taking over the investigation.
The federal prosecutor's office confirmed Tuesday that it has taken on the investigation, citing the significance of the case and the suspicion that it was religiously motivated.
Investigators have said the suspected assailant, a 25-year-old man from Afghanistan who has lived in Germany since 2014 and reportedly had his asylum application rejected, stabbed several members of a group that describes itself as opposing “political Islam.”
His asylum application was rejected—I wonder why.
