There's Nothing Like John Fetterman Sitting on a Bench Brushing Off Pro-Hamas Protesters

I don’t know if this is a new or old encounter, but it features the same cast. Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) is unfazed in his support for Israel, much to the irritation of the Left, who pushed hard for him during his 2022 campaign. Fetterman has been one of the surprises on the Hill. He’s not woke, admits the southern border is out of control, backs Israel wiping out Hamas, and thinks his party’s stance on public safety has veered into crazy land.

A Harvard alumnus, he’s sickened by how his alma mater has devolved into a terrorist, antisemitic haven. Yet, if there is one thing we know about the pro-Hamas sect of America, it’s that they’re relentless. So, it would make sense that the same folks who bothered him earlier this month are back for more. Like the hordes of Mordor, they never end. At this point, Fetterman does wonder why they keep bothering him and his staff, telling the pro-Hamas folks here that he stands with Israel and that these people should go talk to someone else.

If there is one development that will come to the shock of no one in 2028, it’s that Fetterman will face a primary challenger. Who that will be remains a mystery, but he’s become persona non grata among leftists for wanting to wipe out a terror group. The Pennsylvania Democrat aptly noted that there is one party that could end the war in Gaza today: Hamas. If they released the hostages, some of whom are American, no doubt Israel would halt all offensive operations. They’ve offered over a half-dozen ceasefire agreements, all rejected by Hamas.
