CBS News Steps on Fake News Rake Again by Re-Airing Italian Medical Footage for PA Hospital Story

CBS News Steps on Fake News Rake Again by Re-Airing Italian Medical Footage for PA Hospital Story

I mean, c’mon guys, is this for real? CBS News is having a rough go of it regarding clamping down on, you know—not posting fake news. Leah already covered this last week. It was mighty embarrassing. The network aired footage of an Italian hospital overrun by patients infected with the Wuhan coronavirus to insinuate that those were the conditions on the ground in New York City. It’s bad in the Big Apple, no doubt. They account for nearly half of all U.S. cases, but our health care system is not being overrun. Stressed, yes, but blessedly not overrun like in Italy. CBS was torched for this; they admitted it. They apologized and said it was an editing mistake, but now they got caught re-airing the footage for a story about a hospital in Pennsylvania (via Daily Caller):

The misleading video first appeared on “CBS This Morning” during a report on New York’s novel coronavirus pandemic on March 25. The network was airing footage of a crowded Italian hospital room while talking about New York. The Italian hospital footage was reported by Sky News on March 22 during a segment on hospitals in the country.

“It was an editing mistake. We took immediate steps to remove it from all platforms and shows,” a CBS spokesperson previously said in a statement to the Daily Caller on March 30.

“In Pennsylvania, cases are skyrocketing at the rate of 1,000 a day,” a reporter says as footage from an Italian hospital flashes across the screen. “Governor Tom Wolf is appealing to citizens to help.”

It’s the same bloody footage, folks.

Once a mistake, perhaps, but twice is intentional. It’s truly heinous. The media needs for the death toll to be high, infection rates to be high, hospitals overrun, and chaos to reign. This is what’s needed to generate an atmosphere that could boot Trump from office. Now that Joe Biden is going to be the 2020 nominee, he will need all the indirect help he can get because one thing is for sure—Joe cannot win this election on his own. His liberal media allies are doing their best to make America look terrible. Well, you got caught again. Was this an editing mistake? Was this deliberate? Is someone getting fired?  No comment will probably be the default response to anyone who is asking what the hell is going on here.
