Failed Presidential Candidate Al Gore Says Trump Should Resign

Oh yeah, Al Gore said Trump should resign, so he should do it. Or better yet, why are we asking what Al Gore would say to President Trump. Who cares? The 2000 presidential loser has been on a climate change crusade since his defeat, and he’s very, very upset that the Trump administration has clipped the wings of the EPA, which was out of control under the Obama White House (via The Hill):

Former Vice President Al Gore on Wednesday reiterated his call that President Trump should resign.
“My only message would be resign,” Gore, an environmental activist, told Fox 11 Los Angeles during an interview about climate change. Gore's remarks came in response to a question about what he would say to the president.
“I think everyone knows to discount what this current administration is doing and saying. They’ve made the EPA the CPA — the Coal Production Agency — instead of protecting the environment," he said, referring to the Environmental Protection Agency.
The comments come a little more than a year after Gore told LADbible that, if he could give Trump one piece of advice, he would tell him to resign.

Gore just gave the media a fix: an anti-Trump sound bite. Of course, Trump won’t resign because of what Al Gore says. Of course, Al Gore doesn’t like Trump. Of course he’s against the Trump agenda. Lastly, why are we talking to Al Gore anyway? It’s California—green energy is big here. Recently, California announced that they would be a 100% renewable energy state by 2045:

California already gets about one-third of its electricity from solar, wind and other renewable energy sources, and appears on its way toward hitting the 50 percent mark in another decade or so.
But creating an all-renewable electricity grid — completely free of traditional energy from natural gas or other fossil fuels — could be a monumental task.
Stepping up California’s efforts to combat climate change, the state Legislature on Wednesday passed SB 100, requiring utilities to generate all their electrical power from renewable sources by 2045. The Senate voted to approve the bill 25-13, one day after the Assembly narrowly passed it.
