The lady literally has no shame. None. But is that shocking? Sadly, it’s not. Hillary Clinton, the two-time presidential loser, has blamed everyone for her 2016 loss. She takes responsibility for the loss, but then goes on to blame everyone else for her upset loss to Donald Trump. I’m responsible for the electoral defeat, the former first lady says, but then blames the media for covering her email fiasco like Pearl Harbor, the Democratic National Committee, Russia, James Comey, the FBI, the media, sexism, Barack Obama, Joe Biden, and Bernie Sanders.
It’s part of a long tale of a woman who refuses to take responsibility for her actions. The FBI, the media, and Russia are easy and expected targets for Clinton’s wrath, though things took an interesting turn when she slammed the DNC for giving her “nothing” during the 2016 campaign. Data crunchers who worked for Democrats hit back, saying there was nothing wrong with the data operation being run at the DNC; Clinton just didn’t know what she was doing. What about Hillary’s lack of a cogent agenda for the campaign? Well—that was Obama’s fault. His presidency prohibited her from running a change election, or something.
So, she’s gone after a good chunk of Democrats, the face of the party actually. Now, she’s going after every other card-carrying Democrat. As Loretta wrote, Hillary said her capitalist roots hurt her. At the Shared Value Leadership Summit in New York on Wednesday, the former first lady said such a declaration hurt her with party members who are toeing a more socialist line. Also, are you kidding me, lady? (via Daily Beast):
Hillary Clinton claimed Wednesday that declaring herself to be a “capitalist” during the 2016 presidential primaries may have hurt her with Democratic voters.
“Probably,” she said when asked by Time Inc. Brands CCO Alan Murray if the declaration hurt her. The pair appeared in conversation as part of the Shared Value Leadership Summit in New York City.
“It’s hard to know but I mean if you’re in the Iowa caucuses and 41 percent of Democrats are socialists or self-described socialists, and I’m asked ‘Are you a capitalist?’ and I say, ‘Yes, but with appropriate regulation and appropriate accountability.’ You know, that probably gets lost in the ‘Oh my gosh, she’s a capitalist!’” Clinton concluded, partly referring to the popularity of her primary rival, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), who ran as a self-declared democratic socialist.
Okay, lady—you lost because you had no agenda. You shunned rural voters. You said those who support the president are deplorable. You wrote off half the country. You didn’t campaign hard enough in the Rust Belt. You didn’t work hard to shift the narrative on the email scandal, a scandal in which your stances on character issues were irreparably damaged. This loss was your fault. You didn’t lose because scores of left wing Democrats moving more to the Left, though on a side note, there appears to be some truth to that.
She’s not going away, much to the chagrin of the younger members of the Democratic Party. I don’t think she can believe that she lost. The same goes for her supporters, but let’s face it: Hillary handiy won the 2016 primaries. Yes, Bernie gave her a run for her money and if he were 10-15 years younger, he probably would have beaten Hillary. Alas, that wasn’t the case. It's just another story of how the former first lady fails miserably to take full responsibility for one of the most shocking upsets in American political history.
