I like the old country like Cash, Jones, Waylon, et al.  Some of the new country is a bit too much like light pop for me, though, so I find that alt-country is a good middle ground.  In my view, this includes folks like Pat Green, Gary Allen, and yes, Ryan Adams.  By the way, if you're not familiar with him, this is in my estimation
