McCain's New Web Bio Ad ...

McCain's team has released a new web bio ad.  It focuses on the military legacy passed down from his grandfather and father.  The ad closes with the tag line:

"That cause is our country."  I've watched it three times, and I'm not sure what I think of it -- other than that it doesn't blow me away.

I think McCain's personal story is, perhaps, more persuasive than his family story.  His father was an Admiral -- that's different than saying your dad worked in a coal mine.  While this is a tremendous legacy to be proud of -- and while Sen. McCain obviously served admirably in his own right -- hearing about his successful military family isn't necessarily endearing, and ironically, might sound a bit elitist to some voters.  Will voters think:  "It ain't me, it ain't me, I ain't no fortunate one"?
