McCain Skips Club for Growth Meeting (In Favor of Iraq)

Senator John McCain has declined an invitation to speak at Club for Growth's winter meeting (I'm told Sen. McCain will be in Iraq during the meeting).  There are national security concerns when a Senator travels to Iraq, which may have prevented McCain from mentioning the Iraq trip in his letter to the Club  This, of course, is on the heels of skipping CPAC, which means conservative bloggers are looking for a pattern ...

Coincidentally, The Club has also released their white paper on Senator McCain.

On the positive side for McCain, The Flash Report notes that Senator McCain raised a lot of money last night in California.  Additionally, this morning's New York Times poll may demonstrate a relaxing of Rudy's bounce.
