A Sad Day for North Carolina

Nine people died in a tornado this morning near Wilmington.

Keep them and their families in your prayers.

We see a lot of tornadoes in North Carolina. I don't remember a school year when I didn't find myself hunched over on my knees, forehead against the cold, painted cinderblock of the school hallway, waiting for the storm to pass and the windows the stop rattling before we could all stand up and go back to class. We see a lot of them, but they don't usually take that many people in one swoop. Very sad.
