'We're Not the Ones Fanning the Flames On This One. We're Not the Ones Who Called the Press Conference.'

Update: Allah has video of the presser. Good stuff.

Wow, you know how you know the Kerry remarks are having an impact? The White House press corps is in a tizzy like no other today. They literally sound like a very slightly toned-down version of Kerry's press conference.

"B-b-b-b-ut you didn't ask Rush Limbaugh to apologize! B-b-b-b-ut you accepted the Vice President's statement that he didn't mean waterboarding last week! Why won't you just accept Kerry's admission that he botched a joke? He just botched a joke!"

They make themselves ridiculous at every turn. They accused Republicans of exploiting the Kerry statement, and Snow had this to say:

"I haven't brought this up at any of these pressers. You have."
Allah notes a call for resignation from a retired general.

Update: Dear Lord, this is funny.

Update: Dem Senate candidate Jon Tester and Hillary Clinton have both said Kerry's remarks were inappropriate.
