The Dixie Chicks Are Oppressed

They've even got a movie coming out about their plight-- "Shut Up and Sing."

No, that's not helpful, career-rehabilitating advice; that's the Dixie Chicks' ironic battle cry. The tagline for the film is, "Free speech is fine as long as you don't do it in public."

Whatever. You wanna know how put down the Dixie Chicks are?

On the way home today, I heard a Virginia country station play the Chicks' version of The National Anthem (the station plays the anthem every day at noon). Strangely, no one called to complain. Chicks, move on. It's over. This is just embarrassing.
