Remembering the Pentagon Victims

I drove over the 14th St. Bridge last night, and saw this:



Thanks to Tom Bridge for the image, and h/t to Shape of Days, who reflects on the resilience of the Pentagon and the people who go there every single day.

I was going South on 395 when I saw the skylights from the D.C. side of the bridge. I headed toward Washington Blvd., which is the road Flight 77 flew over on its way into the building, and saw this beautiful memorial from the ramp.

The attack on the Pentagon claimed 184 lives, including 11-year-old Bernard Brown.
