Busted Terrorists Planned Dry Run Within Two Days

Yikes, terrorists planned dry run on attack within two days.

The terrorist attack foiled by British authorities on Thursday was aimed at blowing up as many as 10 airplanes on trans-Atlantic flights, and plotters hoped to stage a dry run within two days, according to U.S. intelligence officials.

The actual attack would have followed within days.

One official said the suicide attackers planned to use a peroxide- based solution that could ignite when sparked by a camera flash or another electronic device.

The test run was designed to see whether the plotters would be able to smuggle the needed materials aboard the planes, these officials said. They spoke only on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the subject matter.

Allah reports suspects have been identified.

He also reports that terrorists are now using the same method for smuggling explosives that I..err, other miscreants used for smuggling liquor into high-school football games. These are strange times, indeed. Next, they'll be calling their parents from the Waffle House at midnight pretending to be at a friend's house so they can stay out past curfew.

Rusty's glad Bush named the enemy, but Michelle thinks the term confuses the issue.

Bush was less than impressive, not particularly impassioned and gave a surprisingly short statement, I thought, but the substance of what he said was good. I grabbed quotes, here.

The would-be terrorists, by the way? Asian.

Wanna hear Members of the House talk about the would-be plot? Maybe not, but here's a link. (H/t RightWingSparkle)
