From Wonkette to Washington Editor

All right, so Ana Marie Cox is now Washington editor of Time.com.

I think Cox is funny. I know she's dirty and lewd and all that, but I found her entertaining when she was at Wonkette, in a read-it-on-your-lunch-break kind of way.

I also think she probably has a unique view on the political scene that could conceivably lead to interesting feature stories that others might miss.

I also think bloggers can be perfectly qualified to work in a mainstream media setting, and even surpass their MSM colleagues.

But Ana Marie Cox is now Washington editor of Time.com? Seriously? This town is something else.
