In Which Our Heroine Finds an Excuse to Gossip-Blog

I thought this was a neat capitalism story:

Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt made her first fashion statement by appearing on the cover of People in a $42 t-shirt sold by Belly, a boutique in Denver, who sent the shirt along with other maternity clothes, to Jolie in January. The shirt, which says "The Pots & Pans Band" in Gothic letters and features a skull and crossbones, has now completely sold out after the boutique was flooded with phone and Internet orders.

I sent Shiloh an HH.com shirt, but Angelina was upset because the 15-word plan didn't mention "the children." Sorry, Hugh.

And, Andy Roth points out that Brangelina's baby is not the only Namibian birth of note:

When Rep. Jeff Flake, Republican of Arizona, was in Namibia in 1989 and 1990, his newborn, Ryan, was named Namibian Baby of the Year in a local contest. Why was Flake in Namibia? “It’s kind of a Brad Pitt-Angelina Jolie story,” he jokes before turning serious to reveal that he was there running Foundation for Democracy, which advised the southern African country on how to draw up its constitution.

My new mission is to get the next celebrity baby in one of these. I have a feeling I could convince Britney and K-Fed it's an endorsement of pork rinds.
