It’s no secret that former President Joe Biden was tanking in polls leading up to the point where he dropped out of the 2024 presidential race.

Shortly after, Biden’s vice president, Kamala Harris, lost the race to former President Donald Trump. Reports and polls indicate that Trump won based on several issues, including border security and the economy.

A poll released this week shows how Biden compares to all the other living presidents.

According to Gallup, of the five men who served as president of the United States and are still alive, Biden ranks the lowest. Thirty-nine percent of respondents view Biden favorably, while 57 percent view him unfavorably.

Former President Barack Obama receives the highest favorable rating (59 percent).

Fifty-two percent of Americans view former President George W. Bush favorably. On the contrary, 34 percent holding an unfavorable view and 14 percent saying they have no opinion on Bush’s tenure.

Both President Trump and former President Bill Clinton have a 48 percent favorability rating. Trump has 50 percent unfavorable and Clinton 51 percent unfavorable.

“Presidential image trends tend to follow a similar pattern – general positive ratings around the time of their inauguration, subdued ratings while in office, usually poor ratings when their presidency ends, and improved favorability after having been out of office for some time,” Gallup said.
