Last week, Townhall covered how outgoing Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau responded to President-elect Donald Trump’s comments about making Canada part of the United States.

“There isn’t a snowball’s chance in hell that Canada would become part of the United States,” Trudeau wrote on X.

“Workers and communities in both our countries benefit from being each other’s biggest trading and security partner,” he added.

Shortly after, podcast host Joe Rogan said that the United States should take control of Canada. But, it doesn’t stop there. Rogan said that the US should gain control of Mexico, as well.

“Do you think that they’ll take Canada in to be the 51st or 52nd state, whichever one it is?” Rogan was asked by podcast host Theo Von.

“Here’s what I think, I think we take Canada and then we go right into Mexico,” Rogan responded.

Von responded with an enthusiastic, “Let’s f***ing go!”

Rogan published an Instagram post of Trump saying on Truth Social that “Many people in Canada LOVE being 51st State.”

“I say we let Mexico in too,” Rogan added.

Trump has also stated that he plans to rename the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America when he takes office, which Townhall covered.

“Mexico’s really in trouble. A lot of trouble. Very dangerous place. And, we’re going ot be announcing a future date pretty soon…we do most of the work there…we’re going to be changing the name of the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America, which has a beautiful ring…covers a lot of territory. The Gulf of America. What a beautiful name,” Trump said on Tuesday. “And it’s appropriate.”
