This week, Townhall covered how a male athlete who thinks that he is a “transgender woman” said in an interview that he will not compete in a men’s category or an “open” category because it’s “not safe” for him to do so.
The athlete, Zach “Emily” Bridges, like so many others, fails to acknowledge that it’s unsafe for women to compete against men. There are several documented instances where women have been seriously injured competing with “transgender women.”
This week, news broke that one county in a left-wing state would not longer allow confused males who think they’re women to compete in girls’ sports.
Going forward, girls’ sports leagues will be banned from Nassau County, New York’s 100 fields and athletic facilities unless they agree to prohibit so-called “transgender” athletes.
According to the New York Post, the move was done through an executive order signed by county executive Bruce Blakeman (via NYP):

“We are protecting girls’ right to compete against other girls. It makes no sense for biological boys who identify as transgender to compete against girls. It’s completely unfair,” Blakeman told The Post.
“Biological boys are faster, bigger and stronger. They have a physical advantage against women.”
Blakeman issued the order as the county is licensing with sports leagues to use local facilities — including a swimming center, baseball, softball and soccer fields, tennis courts and other venues — for the spring and summer, he explained.

The rule only applies to female competitive sports, not co-ed sports.
Reportedly, parents in the county complained to Blakeman about the growing issue of males who think they are transgender competing in women’s sports.
“They voiced opposition. They think it’s discrimination against girls,” he told the outlet.
The order states: “Historically, women and girls have not received as many of the opportunities emanating from participation in sports as biological males.”
“The designation of separate sex-specific athletic teams or sports is necessary to maintain fairness for women’s athletic opportunities; the County of Nassau is committed to protecting Women’s and Girl’s rights to compete athletically and to realize the opportunities of participating in a fair sporting competition,” it continues.
“Ordered, that Nassau County Department of Parks, Recreation and Museums shall not issue any permits for the use and occupancy of Nassau County Park’s property for the purposes of organizing a sporting event or competition that allows athletic teams or sports designated for females, women, or girls to include biological males,” it adds.
