In recent months, Townhall has covered how President Joe Biden’s poll numbers are not looking good going into the 2024 presidential race. This week, NBC pointed out that Biden’s poll numbers are in “more dangerous territory than Obama’s in 2011.” Other Democrats have come out and stated that they will challenge Biden in 2024. This week, one prominent Black Lives Matter activist said that he will not support the Democrats at all in 2024.

Black Lives Matter Rhode Island co-founder and former senior director Mark Fisher said this week that he is supporting former President Donald Trump for the 2024 election.

Fisher made the remarks in an interview on Fox News.

“We’re not stupid. The brothers are not stupid. We understand when someone's for us and when someone is not and it's obvious that the Democratic party is not for us,” Fisher said, pointing out that he believes the Democrats are “hypocrites.”

“Their [Democrats’] policies actually strike at the heart of the black family, and the nuclear family,” Fisher continued, adding that he thinks “a lot of people are misinformed” about Trump.

“They don't really understand because they don't educate themselves on Donald Trump as a person and his history. But, if they do that…I think that it’ll happen on its own and it will be organic. Personally I love the man. I mean, how could you not like a real man? How could you not relate to someone like that?”

“My message that I preach and that I tout is unity. It’s a message of unity. It’s unity-driven. I want to bring together all the marginalized groups…and bring them to the center because we’re stronger together as one nation, indivisible, under God,” Fisher said.

Earlier this month, Fisher said in an interview that he thinks “right now who we have sitting in the oval office is a deep disappointment,” according to WHAM.

“I deeply have disdain for him [Biden] and I really dislike the vice president [Kamala Harris] as well,” he added.

“I feel like a lot of Black people are starting to pivot off that Democratic plantation. For so long, we’ve been slaves to that party,” Fisher said. “Actually, we’ve been mental slaves afraid to get off of that plantation because we’ve been used and abused for so long by that party.”

Fisher explained that Democrats’ policies are “basically racist policies.”

“I believe it’s a racist party that strikes at the heart of the Black family and the nuclear family in general,” Fisher said. “I believe Donald Trump is the opposite, he’s going to tell you how it is, give it to you straight. He’s not going to be a hypocrite and stab you in the back like the Democratic party loves to do.”
