Hillary Finally Figures Out the Electoral College Matters

Hillary Clinton appears to have finally figured out winning the Electoral College is what makes one president, urging Democrats on Monday to choose a candidate who can do so.

"We have to hope that whoever ends up nominated can win the Electoral College," she said in Denver during a book event.

"I think several of our candidates could win the popular vote but as I know ... that's not enough," the former secretary of state said.

Democrats need to win in 2020, she said, telling the crowd that they should "work hard for your preference in the primary" but ultimately to support the candidate who is nominated.

"Do not let anyone you know vote third party," she said.

Clinton's advice was roundly criticized on Twitter.
