Fox News host Sean Hannity lashed out at the GOP Monday night calling it a “dead party.”
In an interview with "Breitbart News Tonight" special edition host Steve Bannon on SiriusXM 125, Hannity called out the Republican Party on a number of issues, but specifically on its failure to repeal and replace Obamacare.
“Here’s my view on the Republican Party,” Hannity said. “It is a dead party. They are morally corrupt, they are weak. They are ineffective, they’re vision-less, and they have no identity.”
The Fox News host said that he does not believe he’s the one who has changed, but the party.
“I do believe I’ve never changed. I do believe the Republican Party left me, and I feel it is heartbreaking to me, because so many people trusted them in 2010, 2014 – Give us the House, give us the Senate – then they get the White House and they turn on a man that’s advocating the same principles that they have been quoting for years on the campaign trail,” he explained, adding it’s "total and complete bulls---."
Republicans repeatedly failed this year to follow through on a seven-year promise to undo former President Obama's signature health care legislation.
Not only did Hannity slam the party for failing to accomplish this, he went further arguing that most Republicans never actually had any intention of doing so.
"We learned something this year: That is, there were 100 House Republicans that voted 65 times to repeal and replace Obamacare--they never had any intention of doing it," he said. "And then you've got the Senate ... same exact thing."
