President Trump tweeted a story from Fox News’s “Fox and Friends” Tuesday morning about North Korea. But the story cites unnamed intelligence officials, which is problematic considering his administration is attempting to crack down on leakers.

“Despite the United States' insistence that North Korea halt its missile tests, U.S. spy agencies detected the rogue communist regime loading two anti-ship cruise missiles on a patrol boat on the country’s east coast just days ago,” the Fox News story states.
“It's the first time these missiles have been deployed on this type of platform since 2014, U.S. officials with knowledge of the latest intelligence in the region told Fox News on Monday.” (emphasis mine)
Nikki Haley, the US ambassador to the United Nations, even said she couldn’t comment on the story because it contained classified information.
“I can’t talk about anything that’s classified,” she said on Fox News. “And if that’s in the newspaper that’s a shame. I have no reason to comment on it.”
The president said the United States must be “tough & decisive” when it comes to dealing with the threats from North Korea.
“After many years of failure,countries are coming together to finally address the dangers posed by North Korea,” he tweeted Tuesday. “We must be tough & decisive!”
Last week, the UN Security Council voted to impose a new round of U.S.-drafted sanctions worth more than $1 billion on North Korea.
In response, Pyongyang said it is “ready to retaliate with far bigger actions to make the U.S. pay a price for its crime against our country and people.”
