Sen. Chuck Grassley made an effort to keep the bipartisan cordiality on Capitol Hill going this week by surprising his colleague, Sen. Dianne Feinstein, with a birthday cake.

Feinstein turned 84 on Thursday, making her the oldest senator serving in Congress.

The cake, which was presented to her during a committee meeting, had a seal of her alma mater Stanford University on it.

Grassley and Feinstein both serve on the Senate Judiciary Committee together.
