Krauthammer on Threat to Filibuster Gorsuch: 'Too Stupid, Even Democrats Won't Do It'

While Democrats made a lot of noise at Judge Neil Gorsuch’s confirmation hearing Monday, syndicated columnist Charles Krauthammer believes that he’s so well qualified the Democrats will not force Republicans to employ the nuclear option and nominate him with a 51-vote majority.

"Look, I feel sorry for the Democrats. Not really. But they ought to be pitied because this guy is at a central casting. The only arguments are about the results of his decisions. Here, you favor a big corporation over a little guy. That happens. The reason that you have the symbol of justice being a blind justice with her eyes taped, her eyes are shut, because you are not supposed to recognize the identity of the plaintiffs,” Krauthammer said on Fox News’s “Special Report with Bret Baier.”

And when Baier asked the panel their thoughts regarding Democrats possibly filibustering Gorsuch, Krauthammer replied that it would be “too stupid. Even Democrats won’t do it."

Gorsuch will be on the hot seat again today starting at 9:30 a.m.
