Trump: I Will Submit Wiretapping Evidence to House Committee 'Very Soon'

President Trump told Fox News’s Tucker Carlson that evidence of his wiretapping claim would be forthcoming.

The administration “will be submitting things” to the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence “very soon,” he said, adding that he may be speaking about it as soon as next week.

“You’re going to find some very interesting items coming to the forefront over the next 2 weeks."

When Carlson asked why the tweet about the claim preceded the evidence, Trump said his definition of wiretapping "covers a lot of different things."

"That really covers surveillance and many other things," he said. "Nobody ever talks about the fact that [the words 'wires tapped'] was in quotes [in the tweet], but that’s a very important thing."
