During an event in Colorado Thursday night, 2020 Democratic Presidential Candidate Beto O'Rourke was asked if he is open to a ban on all semi-automatic firearms. When reporters followed up, this what he said:

The question was originally asked by Evan Todd, a survivor of the 1999 Columbine High School shooting. Todd is pro-Second Amendment and asked the question as a way to determine how far Beto would go to infringe on the rights of Americans.

During last week's Democratic debate, O'Rourke made his position clear. Now we know his gun confiscation scheme also applies to handguns.
