During Crazy Rant, DNC Chairman Tom Perez Claims Republicans Will Steal the Next Election

DNC Chairman Tom Perez, who has locked Fox News out of hosting any of the 2020 Democrat presidential debates, falsely claimed on MSNBC this week that Republicans plan on stealing the next election.

"What's clear from this administration, and what's clear throughout the entirety of his business practices, is that they will lie, cheat, and steal. They'll do anything to win. They have so eroded institutions of democracy," Perez said. "We have to be prepared for lying, cheating, and stealing. They have an approach to undermining our democracy that is shameful and that is why we are organizing everywhere. That is why we are preparing for every eventuality."

"I am very sober about the realities of the upcoming campaign. They will try to suppress the vote wherever they can. They will try to cheat, they will try to weaponize things. That's what we are preparing for at the DNC. That's unfortunate," he continued.

Perez' remarks were made during an interview with MSNBC host Joy Reid, who claimed extremely homophobic  blog posts under her name were hacked and got the FBI involved. Reid wrote the posts, not hackers. As a reminder:

Joy-Ann Reid on Saturday apologized for her past “hurtful” remarks about LGBTQ people, following the resurfacing of homophobic blog posts from the mid-to-late 2000s. But she also said that she still doesn’t “believe” that she wrote the blog posts, suggesting — without evidence — that they were the result of an elaborate hack.

The host of MSNBC’s weekend show AM Joy has been under fire for newly uncovered blog posts published on Reid’s now-defunct blog, the Reid Report, in the mid-to late 2000s that repeatedly mocked gay people and specific individuals who were allegedly gay.

In the meantime, the RNC is focused on beating Democrats fairly and continues to destroy the DNC on fundraising numbers.
