President Donald Trump has been briefed on the explosion that occurred Monday morning in New York City's Times Square. The attack occurred at the Port Authority, where hundreds-of-thousands of people travel each day to get in-and-out of Manhattan.

According to current reporting, this was an ISIS-inspired attack and an attempted suicide bombing with a pipe bomb. The remnants of the bomb were found on the subway platform and the suspect has been taken into custody.

The explosion comes just days after President Trump declared Jersualem the official capital of Israel.
