Team Clinton Claims Republicans Are Against People Who "Aren't White Men"...Rubio, Jindal, Fiorina, Carson and Cruz?

It seems as if the Clinton campaign is a) not paying attention to the Republican presidential field b) Denies the diversity in the Republican presidential field c) is already running out of talking points.

During an interview on CNN yesterday, former Clinton advisor Richard Socarides made the claim that the GOP is "against anyone who isn't a white man."

"The issue the Republicans face is that they are, every candidate seems to be against women. Every candidate seems to be against everybody who’s not a white man. I mean, the Republican Party has got this challenge in the primary,” he said.

What?

First, despite progressive claims, the GOP is in fact diverse. Second, does Socarides realize Ted Cruz, Bobby Jindal, Marco Rubio, Ben Carson and Carly Fiorina are all running? Making the 2016 GOP field one of the most diverse ever?  Further, notice how he didn't give any specifics, but rather claimed Republicans are against entire groups of people, including groups of people Republican primary candidates are a part of.

The addition of Carly Fiorina (not a white man) and Ben Carson (not a white man) to a Republican 2016 field that already includes Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio and Rand Paul means that the 2016 Republican field will likely be the most diverse from either party since at least 1992. Given how the country has diversified -- and given how many non-white-men are already in the GOP field -- it's likely that the current class is the most diverse ever.

Meanwhile, Democrats have Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders, Martin O'Malley and Joe Biden on their side. Who's the party of old white men now?

Socardies, and liberals like him, knows exactly how diverse the Republican field is but cannot acknowledge it for fear of exposing the left as not having a monopoly on diversity.
