Wisconsin Post Recall: Romney Ahead of Obama

Just one week after Republican Governor Scott Walker won his special election by a landslide, Mitt Romney has pulled ahead of President Obama in Wisconsin.

Mitt Romney now leads President Obama for the first time in Wisconsin where the president's support has fallen to its lowest level to date.

The latest Rasmussen Reports statewide telephone survey of Likely Voters shows Romney with 47% of the vote to Obama’s 44%. Five percent (5%) prefer some other candidate, and four percent (4%) are undecided.

This news comes after Democrats, specifically DNC Spokeswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz, flipped flopped on their position about whether the recall results would have a national impact. First, Schultz said Wisconsin would have huge implications for November and even called the recall election a "dry run." When Walker handidly beat Democrat Tom Barrett, she changed her tune, saying the Wisconsin recall results were not an indication for Obama in November.
