Gingrich Admitting Defeat in Iowa?

It was just a few short weeks ago when Newt Gingrich was riding high in the polls and saying he would be the GOP nominee.

“I’m going to be the nominee,” he told ABC News' Jake Tapper on Thursday. “It’s very hard not to look at the recent polls and think that the odds are very high I’m going to be the nominee.”

Now, a few weeks and millions in negative advertisements later, Gingrich is admitting defeat in Iowa.

"I don't think I'm going to win," Gingrich said. "I think if you look at the numbers, that volume of negativity has done enough damage."
