Pot, Kettle: Kerry Calls Romney a Flip-Flopper

Ultra-liberal though he may be, John Kerry and conservatives can agree on one thing: Mitt Romney is a flip-flopper. On Meet the Press, Kerry unloaded his thoughts on the GOP presidential hopeful, noting his tendency to change his core principles based on political expediency.

Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.) launched a broadside against his fellow Massachusetts politician Mitt Romney on Sunday, calling him a flip-flopper.

"There are few people I've met in public life who have changed on as many issues as he has," Kerry said on NBC's "Meet the Press"

"Every major touchstone of American politics -- from abortion to guns to war to God to gays, you name it," Kerry told David Gregory. "People will make their own judgments about that."

Unfortunately for Romney, Kerry's assessment could be seen as telling since, as they say, it takes one to know one. He came under fire in 2004 for changing his position on a number of issues, most notably the war in Iraq. While Kerry's hardly the man Republicans are turning to for advice on a candidate, his remarks do indicate the kind of attacks candidate Romney might face against Obama.
