"The president will be giving the commencement address at the Coast Guard Academy in New London, Conn. on May 17,” Press Secretary Sean Spicer said.

In March, the University of Notre Dame announced that Vice President Mike Pence would be giving the 2017 commencement speech instead of President Trump, breaking a tradition that goes back to the Reagan administration.
