The White House said President Trump conveyed "his deepest condolences to Egypt and to the families who lost loved ones in the heinous terrorist attacks against Christian churches on Palm Sunday," according to ABC News.  "The president also expressed his confidence in President el-Sisi's commitment to protect Christians and all Egyptians."

During their first meeting last week, el-Sissi praised President Trump at the White House.

"Your excellency, very strongly, and very openly, you will find Egypt and myself always beside you," el-Sisi said.
