President Trump Begins Dismantling Obama's EPA Regulations on Waterways

President Donald Trump signed another executive order on Tuesday, this time setting his sights on rolling back an Obama Administration regulation that gave the federal government the power to clarify which streams and wetlands fall under federal clean water protections.

"In one case in Wyoming, a rancher was fined $37,000 a day by the EPA for digging a small watering-hole for his catlle," President Trump said. "It's a horrible, horrible rule."

"We're going to free up our country... going to create millions of jobs," he added.

The new order specifically instructs the EPA and the Army Corps of Engineers to begin reviewing and revising the Waters of the U.S. rule to “ensure it promotes economic growth and minimizes uncertainty,” according to CNN.
