Trump Press Conference: Russia, Fake News, and Fireworks

President-elect Donald Trump gave his first press conference since being elected the 45th President of the United States on Wednesday.  

Vice President-elect opened up the press conference by damning the mainstream media for what he called "fake news" in recent days.

Trump began by echoing what Pence said, and also announcing big news in American manufacturing.  "Fiat-Chrysler... Big, big factory going to be built in this country as opposed to another country," he said.

Trump announced that David Shulkin, the current Under Secretary of Health for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, will head the VA.

 

Regarding Russian hacking, Trump said that he thinks Russia hacked the election process along with other countries.  But he blamed the DNC for allowing themselves to be hacked.

An attorney representing Trump's transition announced that he will resign from all duties and investments and relinquish all assets to his sons Donald and Eric.

The attorney also announced that the Trump Organization has hired a ethics advisor to oversee any problematic issues involving the federal government.

As regards to Obamacare, Trump said that he could have let the program fall flat in 2017 and use the failure as an example, but instead he will continue with he repeal and replace plan.  

Trump was confronted with an angry reporter who was quickly admonished by the rest of the press.  Trump called the news organization "fake news."

Trump later concluded the informative press conference and wished his family the best with the Trump Organization.
