Colin Kaepernick is expected to remain seated Thursday night during the National Anthem before the San Fransisco vs. San Diego NFL preseason game. He is protesting the flag until society reflects what he believes it stands for. He has remained committed to his cause by wearing socks last week with white pigs wearing police hats to practice.

However, it is NFL protocol for each player to where an American flag sticker on the back of their helmet during games.
Should he decide to take his protest further and remove the decal, he will be financially punished by the league, according to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk.
So one question remains, is Kaepernick dedicated enough to his cause to cough up thousands of dollars in fines, or will he wear the flag that he is protesting on his helmet free of charge?
