London's Muslim Mayor Warns David Cameron of "Trump-Style" Attacks

Sadiq Khan, London's new Muslim mayor, is now accusing Prime Minister David Cameron of using the "Donald Trump playbook" to try and divide communities in order to prevent his election.

“They used fear and innuendo to try to turn different ethnic and religious groups against each other — something straight out of the Donald Trump playbook,” Khan wrote in The Observer newspaper on Sunday.

“Londoners deserved better and I hope it’s something the Conservative party will never try to repeat.”

Khan won 57 percent of the vote in Thursday’s mayoral election, defeating multimillionaire Tory Zac Goldsmith and becoming the first Muslim mayor of a major Western capital.

He hailed his victory as a triumph of “unity over division” after  past appearances at public events with radical Muslims.

Hillary Clinton was sure to send her congratulations in a tweet on Saturday.

This is not the first time a foreign leader has felt the need to mention Republican nominee Donald Trump in their public policy.  Last week, China's foreign minister told the American people that Donald Trump's views on the economic relations between the two countries was wrong and that the reality is currently a "win-win."
