Only Women Show Up To Work the Senate After the Snowstorm

On Tuesday of this week, Senator Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) noticed something in particular on the Senate floor: there were no men in attendance.  Apparently a cordial agreement was made, which is rare in the Senate, that only women were supposed to show up to work Tuesday.

"I think it is worth noting, however, that the presiding officer, the senator from Maine, and myself, the senator from Alaska... are here braving the elements.  As we convene this morning, you look around the chamber, the presiding officer is female. All of our parliamentarians are female. Our floor managers are female. All of our pages are female," she said.
