Mitch McConnell joins the list of two other significant Senate Republicans in showing no immediate support for their fellow senator, Ted Cruz, in regards to his 'natural-born' status.
McConnell was given the opportunity to resolve the issue and bring it upon the Senate floor.

Ted Cruz (R-Texas) is constitutionally eligible to run for president.“I just don’t think the Senate ought to get into the middle of this,” McConnell said Sunday on ABC’s “This Week.” “These guys will all slug it out in Iowa and New Hampshire. The Senate previously issued a resolution [in 2008] confirming then-nominee John McCain’s eligibility to serve as president. The Arizona senator was born on a military base in Panama to American parents.
Recently, when asked about Cruz's citizenship, Senator John McCain said, "I'm not a constitutional scholar on that, but I think it's worth looking into."
Sen. Rand Paul took it one step further in saying that Cruz is completely eligible to run for Prime Minister in Canada.
"I'm not an expert on the 'natural-born' clause in the Constitution, and people have various opinions," he said. "Some people believe it means you need to be born here. Some people believe it means you can be born in another country as long as your parents are a citizen. We have had some previous cases of it, but I don't think we've ever gone through the court system for the Supreme Court to decide one way or another," Paul said.
