Protests have turned into looting and destruction in Minneapolis on Wednesday following the death of George Lloyd, which appears to have been caused by a Minneapolis police officer putting his knee down into Lloyd's neck.
This marks the second day where some protesters have turned into rioters. According to one local reporter, much of the area within the city's 3rd Precinct has been heavily vandalized and destroyed, with police having to use tear gas and flash bangs:

After tear gas was deployed to keep rioters away from the police's headquarters in the 3rd Precinct, they turned their attention to a Target and started to loot the store.

President Trump tweeted on Wednesday that he has directed the FBI and the Department of Justice to thoroughly look into Lloyd's death.
"I have asked for this investigation to be expedited and greatly appreciate all of the work done by local law enforcement. My heart goes out to George’s family and friends. Justice will be served!" he added.
