Ayotte Wins New Hampshire; Recount May Be Called

What a race! Lamontagne was up by a percentage point until just a few moments ago, but won the race at the last second by 1,667 votes. Lamontagne has until 5pm to decide whether he will demand a recount, an option he has the right to exercise given that the margin of error was within 1.5%.


Ayotte would be a very qualified candidate - and as I mentioned earlier, was polling better against the Democratic challenger than was Lamontagne. Still, the conservative take-over had better prospects here than it did in Delaware, and
